Stainless steel flange in the installation process of attention

1. in order to prevent intergranular corrosion caused by heating stainless steel flange cover, welding current should not be too large. This time the current needs to be about 20% smaller than the carbon steel electrode, the arc should not be too long, the sandwich should be rapidly cooled, and it is desirable to reduce the weld seam.

2. When welding stainless steel flange fittings, repeated heating will precipitate carbide, thereby reducing corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

3. Stainless steel flange fittings are easy to produce cracks after welding. If the same type of stainless steel welding rod is used for welding, it must be preheated above 300 degrees Celsius and slow cooling treatment of about 700 degrees Celsius after welding, so that the flange fittings can avoid cracks. If the weld cannot be heat-treated after welding, a suitable stainless steel flange fittings electrode should be selected.

4. In order to improve corrosion resistance and weldability, in the case of stainless steel flanges, the appropriate addition of stabilizing elements such as titanium, niobium and molybdenum. should be added. When the same type of stainless steel flange electrode is used, it should be preheated above 200 degrees Celsius and tempered at around 800 degrees Celsius after welding. If the weld cannot be heat treated, a suitable stainless steel flange fitting electrode should be selected.
